Launch Vehicle Integration Systems Engineering Lead

General Atomics and Affiliated Companies is seeking a highly skilled Launch Vehicle Integration Systems Engineering Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Space Systems team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of our Space Vehicle constellations with orbital transfer vehicle and launch vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/participate in LSI working groups with LV and customer stakeholders
- Establish, build, and maintain strong working relationships with launch service providers
- Execute launch integration activities with launch service provider (weekly meetings, technical exchanges, schedule updates, etc.)
- Lead development of LV interface requirements and ICDs
- Technical subcontract manager for Orbital Transfer Vehicle subcontract responsible for coordinating with suppliers, internal engineering team and project management to ensure that the subcontracted products align with the technical specifications.
- Providing technical guidance to subcontractor, ensuring that deliverables meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.
- Using traditional and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches lead and contribute to the development all SE work products which may include CONOPS, System Architecture, Requirements and Interface Control Documents, Mission and System Analysis, Trade Studies.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD.
- 5+ years launch integration experience and 1+ successful launch campaign
- Prior experience as an IPT lead or technical lead strongly desired
- Must have active TS clearance and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
