Job Title: Mechanical Millwright

GrayWolf Integrated Construction Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Millwright to join our team at our Pennington, AL project site.

Job Summary

The Journeyman Mechanical Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, dismantling, and moving various types of machinery and equipment in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of heavy industrial field experience as a Mechanical Millwright and be proficient in reading blueprints and schematic drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Safely and competently identify and use basic and special rigging procedures and equipment.
  • Correctly identify and explain the use of threaded and non-threaded fasteners and anchors.
  • Layout, cut, and install flange gaskets and select and install O-rings for various applications.
  • Remove and install bearings using manual pullers and/or a press.
  • Correctly identify and explain different types of packing and install them correctly.
  • Correctly identify and explain types of seals and seal materials.
  • Install different coupling types and correctly identify and explain different types of shim stock and shim materials.
  • Identify and have knowledge of types of fans and blowers.
  • Correctly identify and explain the use of various conveyors and their components.
Qualifications
  • Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as a Mechanical Millwright.
  • Able to identify various types of machinery and understand their working operations.
  • Must have a locking toolbox and tools necessary to perform the job.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
Physical/Site Requirements
  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas.
  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
