Midwestern Mechanical Inc is seeking a skilled Plumbing Journeyman/Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our plumbing crew, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on large commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Repair Plumbing Issues: Troubleshoot and fix problems with plumbing and gas systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Install and Maintain Plumbing Systems: Assemble, install, and repair plumbing and med gas systems according to project specifications and trade codes.
- Provide Training and Guidance: Mentor and train apprentices on the job site, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure their success.
- Inspect and Test Systems: Inspect equipment and structures to identify errors or defects, and test systems for leaks using compressed air and/or water.
- Travel and Work Independently: Travel overnight within the region as needed, and work independently or as part of a team to meet project goals.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, Journeyman Plumber license, and field experience as a Journeyman Plumber.
- Skills and Certifications: Strong mechanical skills, ability to read and interpret architectural plans and mechanical designs, and certifications in med gas and welding (stainless steel) preferred.
- Personal Qualities: Competent, responsible, organized, and team-oriented, with strong communication and computer skills.
