Automotive Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Sun Auto Tire & Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing hands-on work on customer vehicles and directing other shop personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform brake jobs, suspension component replacements, alignments, and front-end part repairs
  • Conduct preventive maintenance items, tire repairs, and replacements
  • Perform oil changes and other routine maintenance tasks
Requirements:
  • Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license
Working Conditions:

The Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.

Physical Demands:
  • Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle, or finger objects frequently
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
