Key Responsibilities- Perform all laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing resident laundry and community linens and textiles in provided appliances.
- Fold and/or hang laundry appropriately, ensuring it is neatly stored and easily accessible.
- Distribute laundered articles and linens to residents and staff members.
- Replace and hang draperies, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
- Change beds, linens, and towels as needed to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Mop the laundry room floor and wash walls regularly to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Wash windows around the community as requested to ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensure resident's laundry is kept separated and is not mixed with other residents.
- Keep the laundry area maintained in a safe, clean, and good working condition.
- Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies to prevent the spread of germs and infections.
- Stock laundry and cleaning cart with supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient laundry process.
- Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
- Able to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Able to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Able to perform these operations using units of United States currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
- Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons, etc.
Atria Senior Living offers a competitive salary range of $16.00/hr - $18.40/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes paid holidays and PTO, community employees may receive annual anniversary rewards, and employees may be eligible to receive an Annual Scores Reward of $500 (Full Time) or $250 (Part Time) based on community survey results.
