Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Caseworker to join our team in the Home Study and Post Release Services Program. As a Senior Caseworker, you will be responsible for conducting home studies to determine the suitability of potential sponsors for unaccompanied children, as well as providing post-release services to ensure the continued safety and stability of children in their care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct initial in-home assessments with children and sponsors, followed by regular weekly or monthly contact to assess safety and need.
- Develop individualized service plans to guide the provision of high-quality, trauma-informed case management services.
- Complete home visits to meet with children and their sponsors, assess safety, and identify needs across multiple life domains.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to provide recommendations for reunifying children with their potential sponsors.
- Partner with crisis support staff to develop safety plans and ensure appropriate crisis intervention support when necessary.
- Provide referrals and connections to community-based services, including legal services, education and English language classes, medical care, and behavioral healthcare.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other related behavioral sciences, human services, or social services field.
- Minimum of two years of related professional experience working with children, family reunification/preservation, kinship care, foster care, child welfare, and/or conducting home studies.
- Experience working with immigrant populations and unaccompanied minors preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, up to 200 miles, often nights and weekends, and may need to do a rotation of being 'on call' at a regular interval.
