Regulatory Expert

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded professional to support our Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations across finance and banking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining, improving, and introducing controls to mitigate compliance risks.
• Support compliance monitoring and testing, analysing results and identifying any deficiencies.
• Evaluate and escalate appropriate concerns to the Compliance Manager.
• Collaborate in implementing new test checks/reviews.
• Maintain a sound compliance framework, including an up-to-date compliance register.
• Contribute to increasing compliance awareness and promoting a strong compliance culture within the organisation.
• Provide general assistance to the Compliance Manager, including ad-hoc projects or tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A relevant qualification from a reputable European university or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese and European banking legislation, including Banking Rules.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.

We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, in the region of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and background.
