PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The primary responsibility of this role is to execute the assembly of components to create subassemblies and/or finished products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follow management directives and daily production orders to identify and prepare parts for assembly.
  • Ensure that assembled components correspond with their labels and meet the specified requirements outlined in the production order regarding size, style, and quantity.
  • Conduct inspections of assembled items and report any defects or damages to management immediately.
  • Utilize standard operating procedures and appropriate tools to assemble components as instructed.
  • Remove excess plastic flashing using hand tools to ensure the aesthetic quality and proper fit of parts.
  • Clean and re-inspect finished products to confirm they are free from contaminants and defects, reporting any issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Label all assembled items accurately.
  • Document all assembly activities by recording pertinent product information in company records.
  • Transport products within the facility using hand trucks or other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain assembly stations, tools, and equipment in optimal working condition, ensuring they are stocked with necessary materials.
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks and report any unsafe conditions to management promptly.
  • Keep the work environment organized and clean by adhering to 5S procedures and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues as needed within the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL

REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hands-on work environment.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to follow instructions and document work accurately.
  • Basic computer skills.
PREFERRED:
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Vision: Ability to read, write, and operate various equipment.

Speaking/Hearing: Communicate effectively through verbal exchanges.

Motor Coordination: Requires manual dexterity to operate equipment.

Lift/Carry: Capable of lifting, pushing, and moving items up to 50 lbs regularly.

Environment: Work may be conducted in settings that include dust, sharp edges, and varying temperatures.
