Job Summary:

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time (PRN) basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, working closely with physicians and nurses to create treatment plans, and evaluating patient progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy care and life support as requested by physicians.
• Evaluate lung and breath sounds, and assess therapeutic objectives.
• Perform arterial puncture, collect samples, and evaluate ventilator function in relation to blood gases.
• Conduct oxygen setups, round on oxygen patients, and perform aerosol treatments, scanning medications, and dispensing meds from Acudose.
• Set up and monitor CPAP/BIPAP and pulse oximetry.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation Respiratory Care or having passed a National Board Respiratory Care Exam or its equivalent.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
