Role Overview:

Under general supervision, the primary responsibilities include performing imaging for both neuro and body scans on patients of all ages, adhering to the facility's age-specific guidelines. You will transmit images for diagnostic interpretation and maintain the hospital's computer system with exam progress updates.

The CT Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and is responsible for fostering respectful relationships while upholding the facility's principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all imaging exams following established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification prior to procedures. Educate patients about the exam process and screen for any contrast allergies.
  • Complete exams efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing idle time. Communicate effectively post-exam regarding patient transportation.
  • Perform a variety of imaging procedures and operate all related equipment safely and effectively, adapting protocols as necessary for patients of all ages.
  • Screen patients of childbearing age appropriately and ensure safe operation of imaging equipment to minimize radiation exposure. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Review all images for quality, repeating as necessary to achieve optimal results. Notify physicians of any urgent findings according to established protocols.
Qualifications Required:

Associate's degree or Technical degree in a relevant field

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration

State licensure as required
