This role encompasses the installation, assessment, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of components associated with the water distribution network. Responsibilities also include operating and maintaining both light and heavy machinery, alongside conducting thorough analyses of the water distribution system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, assess, inspect, locate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair components of the water distribution network.
  • Operate and maintain various light and heavy machinery.
  • Load and unload materials while operating off-road machinery.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, perform manual labor tasks, and carry out water distribution system evaluations.
  • Inspect machinery and maintain accurate work records.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Valid South Carolina Class 'D' Driver's License.

Compensation Structure:

  • Trainee: $39,000
  • Operator Level 'D': $40,000 - $52,000
  • Operator Level 'C': $43,000 - $54,000
  • Operator Level 'B': $46,000 - $58,000
  • Operator Level 'A': $49,000 - $63,000

Physical Requirements:
This position involves medium-to-heavy physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and handling various materials.

Work Environment:
The role may require exposure to various elements, equipment, and machinery, necessitating strict adherence to safety standards.
