Job Summary
Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers is seeking an experienced Medical Director or Family Practice/Internal Medicine Physician to lead our organization. The successful candidate will have prior management experience and a strong track record of leading teams in healthcare organizations.

We are a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing comprehensive primary care to low-income, medically underserved, and uninsured populations in Western North Carolina. Our six locations offer patient-centered care, and we are committed to helping our community thrive.

Job Description
The Medical Director will be a key member of our Executive team, responsible for developing and implementing organizational operations strategy, planning, budget, and compliance. They will establish provider productivity, quality, and compliance standards and manage the clinical leadership team to ensure accountability. As a hands-on provider, the Medical Director will also lead the Leicester Community Health Center site.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement organizational operations strategy, planning, budget, and compliance
- Establish provider productivity, quality, and compliance standards
- Manage the clinical leadership team to ensure provider accountability
- Provide leadership, expertise, and support for the clinician team

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Medical Director or similar role
- Experience in managing clinical teams and ensuring provider accountability
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and compliance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
