Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our interdisciplinary care team at Center for Elders' Independence. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care to our elderly participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized care plans to maximize participants' independence and safety.
  • Provide physical therapy services, including exercises, mobilization, and education, to participants with a range of physical abilities and needs.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Document participant progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and care for the elderly.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
  • One year of experience working with the frail elderly population, preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Our Adult Day Health Center provides a supportive and dynamic work environment. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our participants. You will also have access to ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and care for the elderly.
