Position Overview:
This role is available as a 13-week contract or on a per diem basis, with flexible shift options including nights (3x12 hours) or days (1x12 hours).
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed evaluations of patients with cardiac and medical conditions, creating tailored care plans that include vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
- Cardiac Monitoring: Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously observe patients' cardiac health, promptly addressing any irregularities.
- Arrhythmia Care: Manage patients experiencing arrhythmias, including medication administration and necessary interventions.
- Heart Failure Management: Deliver comprehensive care for patients with congestive heart failure, including fluid balance monitoring and patient education.
- Post-Procedure Care: Provide attentive care for patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper monitoring and pain management.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Active RN license in Washington State.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Successful completion of background checks and drug tests.
