Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to join our team at Terracon. As an Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys to sample, measure, and analyze air, water, material, and soil under the direction of senior environmental staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys to collect and analyze data on environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with senior environmental staff to develop and implement environmental assessment plans.
• Perform site visits, field observations, and field data collection to gather information on environmental conditions.
• Document all field activities and observations clearly and thoroughly.
• Assist senior staff with the evaluation of data, including field observations and findings, laboratory test results, reports, drawings, and aerial photographs.
• Assist with the development of written proposals to clients.
• Prepare reports in accordance with the scope, schedule, and budget developed in the associated proposals.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices by reading documentation, publications, and other information related to applicable disciplines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related science field.
• Thorough understanding of standard PPE needed for work in Levels C and D.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
