We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, a state-of-the-art specialty, emergency, and critical care hospital in our region.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Veterinary Technician to work in our Emergency Department, providing top-notch care to pets and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing emergency veterinary care, including triage, treatment, and stabilization of patients
- Assisting in procedures, such as anesthesia, surgery, and radiography
- Administering medications and performing various treatments
- Communicating effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members
- Working collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least two years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine
- Current CVT/LVT/RVT certification or educational equivalent
- Strong knowledge of basic small animal medicine, pharmacology, and laboratory testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
