About the Job
Travel Nurse Source is working with Trustaff to find a qualified Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) in a dynamic healthcare setting. As an OR RN, you will be responsible for patient care in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of a patient's surgical experience. Your duties will include patient education, circulating and/or scrubbing, and working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during and after surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key responsibilities of the OR RN include:
- Providing patient care in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of a patient's surgical experience
- Conducting patient education and ensuring patients are well-informed about their care
- Circulating and/or scrubbing during surgical procedures
- Working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
Requirements
To be eligible for this OR RN position, you must have:
- 1-2 years of recent experience in the job's primary area of care
- An active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
- Additional requirements and certifications as may be requested by the specific facility/unit
