Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is focused on enhancing branch resources, increasing deposits, expanding the customer base, and driving revenue by establishing strong connections with both new and existing clients. The Travel Banking Consultant will also perform teller duties, managing transactions for clients in various settings. This position thrives on building trust and confidence through transparency, integrity, and genuine interactions.

This individual will travel across designated regions and will be based out of a central branch when not on the road.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Engagement

  • Demonstrate consistent relationship development, including but not limited to:
    • Preparing for diverse client interactions
    • Establishing rapport
  • Utilizing effective questioning techniques to uncover current and future financial aspirations of clients
  • Aligning client needs with Seacoast Bank's offerings
    • Confidently articulating Seacoast Bank's products and services
    • Proven success in closing sales based on client requirements
    • Requesting referrals from both new and existing clients
    • Exhibiting strong listening abilities and communicating clearly in various situations.
    • Possessing a solid understanding of customer-facing technology and the ability to guide clients in self-service options.

  • Identifying appropriate resources for complex financial inquiries.
  • Balancing organizational needs with client requests while managing potential risks.

  • Building knowledge in all consumer deposit and lending products and processes.
  • Gaining foundational knowledge of small business deposit and lending products and processes.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in outbound calling techniques.
  • Identifying referral opportunities with internal partners.
  • Displaying proficiency in customer-facing technology and assisting clients in self-service options.

Operational Duties

  • Opening and managing accounts, performing account maintenance, processing transactions while adhering to bank policies to mitigate risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with AML/BSA regulations and operational procedures; communicating updates to team members.
  • Practicing ethical sales behaviors in line with the Associate Code of Conduct, prioritizing client interests.
  • Balancing cash drawers daily and monitoring work for accuracy.
  • Following management directives to resolve complex client objections and issues effectively.
  • Adhering to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct.
  • Following all safety and security protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in cash handling required.
  • College degree or 1+ years in retail sales and/or financial services experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule required, including availability during operational hours.
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Proficient in using desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone devices, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
