Moonlighter FabLab is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit S.T.E.A.M. Learning Center and Fabrication Lab in Miami Beach, FL, empowering makers with the skills, tools, and opportunities to shape a better future.

We offer access to advanced fabrication equipment, including 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, CNC, Electronics, AR/VR, Vacuum Formers, and more. Our dynamic community of makers includes youth learners, professional members, and everything in between.

Compensation Package

We offer an estimated annual salary of $65,000, commensurate with experience, to ensure our team members are rewarded for their hard work and dedication.

Job Description

• Foster Creativity and Innovation: As a STEAM Program Facilitator, you will facilitate educational programming, hands-on learning, and introductions to making for children ages 7-12, high school, collegiate, and adult continuing education.
• Design and Develop Curricula: You will design new learning experiences or adjust current curriculum to meet learner's needs and lead educational programs independently when needed.
• Community Engagement: Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to multiple sites in South Florida, including schools, community centers, museums, and other community outreach events.
• Team Collaboration: Assist students/members with their projects, maintain/organize workshop tools, equipment, and materials, and program planning.
• Additional Responsibilities: Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds of materials for loading and unloading/set up at various programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education Experience: 1-2 years working with children and/or education, preferably in a classroom or after-school setting.
• Certifications and Proficiencies: Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively and independently, successfully pass fingerprinting and level II background check. Basic proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and a CAD design software (e.g., SketchUp, Tinkercad, Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Autodesk AutoCAD). Familiarity with Scratch Coding, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printers, Laser Cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
