About the Role:

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Ashford Gardens. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis, adhering to Facility protocols.
  • Operate floor-care equipment, including mops, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners, to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Empty trash containers, replace liners as necessary, and dispose of trash in designated receptacles.
  • Report repair needs to the Supervisor or maintenance department as required.
  • Request necessary supplies and equipment from the Supervisor.
  • Identify and correct safety hazards, adhering to safety rules and regulations.
  • Participate in weekly in-services, understand, and comply with Patient Care Management Systems.
  • Ensure patient/resident safety at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
