We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Controls Technician II to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our building automation systems (BAS) and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to environmental calls from customers and troubleshoot associated systems to determine the cause of the problem.
  • Maximize effective operational control of equipment using the BAS.
  • Install, operate, and/or adjust pneumatic and digital automation and control system controllers with their associated components.
  • Set up and record trends, historical, and totalization data logs to determine utility consumption and identify issues campus-wide.
  • Perform system analysis and develop strategies to improve system efficiency using real-time data, data logs, psychrometric charts, spreadsheets, and utility manager software applications.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years of HVAC, Chiller, and/or Electrical Experience.
  • One year of appropriate experience in the procedures and methods for installing, repairing, and maintaining building automation systems (BAS), and accessories.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Instrumentation installation, calibration, maintenance, and/or repair of automation and control systems.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and/or HVAC and BAS installation, service or troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate computer skills, Windows file structure, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), and understand basic networking.
