Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic II to join our team at Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and assemble mechanical equipment, machinery, and components to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and replace parts as needed, and place orders for new parts and materials.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth production processes and meet customer requirements.
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure that all work meets company standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training or industry certification preferred.
  • Two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the operating principles of diesel engines and industrial hydraulic pumps.
  • Experience with portable construction pumps, pipe fusing, dewatering, and wastewater bypass operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshooting guides, and to work productively in teams and individually.
