Job Summary
The Grounds Laborer Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property, including buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, and athletic fields. This role involves performing various tasks such as cutting grass, trimming hedges, pruning shrubs and trees, and spraying lawns and shrubs with fertilizer and insecticide.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operations of the federal site grounds maintenance contract.
- Follow and apply all safety procedures to meet federal and company standards.
- Foster an atmosphere that promotes Human Rights for all clients and ensures training, incident reporting of all personnel regarding Human Rights violations.
- Responsible for working with a positive team spirit and producing quality work.
- Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake Policy.
- Ensure the correct operation of all equipment and hand tools assigned.
- Follow and conform to established company standard operating procedures.
- Foster teamwork while balancing team and individual responsibilities.
- Assist in managing department purchasing and budget.
- Complete and maintain all Didlake required training.

Requirements
- Three (3) months of experience in grounds maintenance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate credentials/background check as required by the contract.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to learn the proper use and operator maintenance of routine grounds maintenance equipment and hand tools.
- Valid and insurable driver's license required.
