Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Local Delivery Driver to join our team at Essendant. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products from our Distribution Center to customers' locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and cargo to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Deliver products to customers' locations, adhering to commercial driving regulations and road knowledge in the area.
  • Unload products from trucks to customers' docks, inspecting cargo and completing required documentation.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles as required by Company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • CDL license required, Class A.
  • Ability to adhere to established safe driving guidelines.
  • Ability to use equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load trucks and remain certified to operate all such equipment.
  • Ability to perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School or better.
  • 1 year of Class A CDL tractor/trailer experience.
