Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, promote health education, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary and specialty care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic procedures to inform patient care decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification from a nationally recognized certifying body.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or specialty care environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
