Position Overview

BCMC is engaged in supporting a U.S. Government client on a significant mission-critical development and sustainment initiative aimed at designing, constructing, delivering, and managing a network operations environment. This includes the integration of new cybersecurity capabilities to counteract emerging threats. We are in search of a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to evaluate and create cloud-based architectures and requirements, as well as to develop derived requirements and systems engineering artifacts in the advancement of sophisticated cybersecurity capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the Chief Engineer to devise innovative, cloud-centric architectures that introduce new cybersecurity functionalities for a major U.S. Government client.
  • Working alongside Agile Scrum teams in the system design and execution of advanced, cloud-focused cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Engaging directly with clients, stakeholders, and end-users to discuss capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive, develop, and refine next-cycle updates and specifications.

Essential Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Capability to secure DHS Suitability.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Google cloud architecture.
  • Proficient knowledge and practical experience with Google cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with substantial experience leading technical teams and projects successfully.
  • Effective as a leader, in a collaborative environment, or as an individual contributor.
  • Strong understanding of IT products and services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT Service Operations.
  • Innovative and technical mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in analyzing information and identifying relevant facts.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive outcomes, with a proven history of achieving desired results.
  • Strong and diverse business and technical insight.
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership, including VP and Director levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the implementation and maintenance of a Google Cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of technologies in a cloud setting, such as Elk Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), Ansible, Nessus, ClamAV, AIDE, Splunk, DNS, NAT, and git.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud and AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Background in managing multiple personnel and projects, with experience in an agile development setting.
  • Experience in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments.
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience with projects that implement analytic models into production systems.
  • Familiarity with Google technologies, including migrations to and maintenance of a Google environment.
  • Experience with agile tools, such as Jira and Jira Align.
  • Proficiency in Python/bash scripting.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Two years of relevant work experience may substitute for each year of degree-level education.

Desired Certifications:
  • DoD IAT Level II - AWS Cloud-related certifications.
