We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Crew Member to join our team at the City of Hartsville, SC.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position that involves performing maintenance and repair work on city streets, rights-of-way, and public facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Performs unskilled and semi-skilled work functions associated with maintenance, landscaping, and grounds-keeping of city streets/roads, rights-of-way, and other public facilities and property.">
  • Maintains public grounds and facilities, including mowing lawns, trimming and edging grass, blowing leaves from walkways, planting, pruning, and maintaining plants, trees, and shrubs.">
  • Assists with the maintenance of sidewalks and driveways.">
  • Performs general maintenance tasks necessary to maintain machinery, equipment, and tools.">
  • Participates in safety training and adheres to good safety practices as posted, instructed, and/or discussed.">

Requirements:

A high school graduate or equivalent preferred. Some experience in grounds and street maintenance or repair, and/or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

The salary range is based on the national average for similar positions and takes into account the cost of living in the area.

Work Environment:

The work environment is mostly outdoors, with occasional work in an office setting.

Working hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and emergency situations.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
