Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a full-time Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Specialist to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment with experienced colleagues.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
Job Description:This MRI Specialist will be responsible for performing routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning them appropriately
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body
- Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
- Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers
- FOLLOW safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Clean and disinfect equipment after each use
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
