Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Senior Specialist

As a senior diagnostic medical sonographer, performs advanced ultrasonographic procedures and trains staff members. The role requires knowledge of using the PACS and Radiology Information System to obtain high-quality records of exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive ultrasound procedures, utilizing various transducer frequencies and devices to visualize anatomy and detect abnormalities.
- Collaborates with radiologists to provide accurate diagnostic impressions and reports, while maintaining a strong understanding of normal and pathological processes.
- Remains up-to-date on technological advancements in diagnostic medical sonography, applying this knowledge to improve exam quality and patient care.
- Develops and implements training programs for new staff sonographers, promoting effective working relationships within the department.
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years of post-graduate experience in diagnostic medical sonography, including completion of an approved training program or equivalent experience.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer service, interpersonal relations, and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a related field.
