As the Culinary Operations Leader, you will be a vital member of Safta's management team, working closely with the Chef de Cuisine to enhance the restaurant's culinary excellence and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include overseeing kitchen operations, fostering the growth of the culinary team, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Additionally, you will have the unique chance to collaborate with the service team to craft an extraordinary dining experience that reflects our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with the Chef de Cuisine and culinary team to create and implement innovative and flavorful menu items that resonate with Safta's culinary vision.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the culinary team, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and teamwork.
- Proactively contribute to the development and rollout of new menu offerings and seasonal specials, focusing on the use of local and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain and enforce rigorous cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the kitchen, setting a benchmark for the team.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and cost control to enhance kitchen operations and ensure financial efficiency.
- Promote open communication, positivity, and collaboration within the kitchen environment.
- Serve as a role model for the team, embodying the values and culture of Pomegranate Hospitality in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success in a leadership position, such as a Culinary Operations Leader or similar role, ideally within a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Broad culinary knowledge that includes various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and innovative presentation styles.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and delegate effectively.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and proficiency in managing time-sensitive tasks and priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring strict compliance within the kitchen.
- Expertise in food costing, inventory management, and the overall operation of a busy kitchen.
