Job Title: Psych Registered Nurse - Temp/Seasonal

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at The Brook - KMI, a 98-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors.

About the Role:

We are seeking a temporary Psych Registered Nurse to join our team on a 3-month contract with the opportunity to extend to 6 months. As a Psych Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the implementation of the nursing process in all aspects of patient care for all patient populations, including geropsych, chemically dependent adults, adult psych, adolescents and children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
  • Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
  • Assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations.
  • Initiate and document special treatment procedures.
  • Provide and direct milieu management.
  • Document nursing care, treatment and patient's response to treatment.
  • Provide health education to patients.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Licensed RN to practice in Kentucky.
  • Current CPR.
  • One year inpatient behavioral health work experience.
