Job Summary

Morton Comprehensive Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use and abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead individual and group counseling sessions to support patients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Utilize active listening skills and assessment techniques to understand patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with our staff Psychiatrist to ensure comprehensive care coordination and treatment planning.
  • Provide counseling therapy to patients as needed, with a focus on addressing underlying issues and promoting long-term recovery.
  • Maintain a high level of patient engagement and satisfaction, with a goal of consistently meeting or exceeding patient panel capacity targets.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments in the field of addiction counseling.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or psychology.
  • At least two years of experience in mental health services counseling, with a focus on substance abuse and addiction.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards.
