Water Treatment Specialist

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for customers in various locations. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies, including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and ultrafiltration.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and optimize water treatment equipment
Bridge and LTSA installation and start-up as needed
Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
Perform analytical testing, including turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, and TOC
Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
Create and maintain site paperwork, weekly, and monthly reports, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
Develop site-specific procedures applicable to the operation of our pure water and wastewater equipment at various customer sites, including refining, nuclear, and beverage accounts
Consult with customer management and operation teams
Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
Provide on-call support as needed for ongoing site operations
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years' experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial water treatment related to MMF, RO, UF, minor chemical injection systems desired
Working experience with chemical injection systems and troubleshooting preferred
Experience in hands-on mechanical and minor electrical work
Previous experience developing and maintaining site safety management systems (EHS compliance)
Previous experience with the operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation used for quality assurance on water treatment equipment
Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed (up to 75% travel) and reside in southern CA
Ability to gain and maintain access to sites as assigned, including refineries/Nuclear unescorted access
Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record per Fleet department guidelines
Ability to pass background check, drug and alcohol test, and obtain a TWIC card
