Project Manager Job Description

As a key member of Loggerhead's IT team, the Project Manager will play a critical role in driving projects from concept to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing and executing effective project communication plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project management tools and templates to improve and enhance the project life cycle
  • Analyze development, testing, and release processes and continually improve their efficiency and effectiveness
  • Organize and lead project meetings to facilitate goal setting and review, progress and status reporting, communication, resolve blockers, and general project planning
  • Sets goals with project team members and gain commitment to milestones and deliverables, based on time estimates
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand project needs and goals, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assess project risks and issues, providing solutions to keep projects on course and aligned with objectives.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful elements, using insights to improve future projects.
  • Ensure that business objectives and key success metrics are being met
  • Gather project metrics in order to create predictable, reliable, and repeatable development and release practices
  • Partner with compliance to coordinate and integrate project activities and division-requested enhancements according to the applicable corporate and regulatory standards
  • Identify requirements for web-based and back-office system projects maintained internally or by external vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and track project schedules and delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Experience successfully communicating across a variety of audiences
  • Able to successfully perform both independently and by motivating a project team
  • Familiarity using Agile, Hybrid and Predictive project methodologies
  • Experience with web applications and customizable and configurable applications
  • Basic understanding of programming languages and concepts

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple projects concurrently.

  • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of project management.
  • Sound understanding of Agile methodology and business analysis.
  • Proven leadership and human relations skills.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Advance understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience as a project manager, IT project manager, or ERP project manager.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of program management methodology and techniques; program performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Extensive experience developing, maintaining and reporting on large cost project/program budgets.
  • Strong business acumen and/or demonstrated learning agility to quickly increase business expertise.
  • You have a passion for problem-solving, experience with technical software products and compliance.
  • P&C Insurance industry experience.
  • Ten years of experience in project and/or program management or related experience.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or PMI-ACP (Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner) designations preferred.
  • Insurance designations preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment with option to flexibly split time working remotely and at corporate headquarters located in Tampa, FL.
  • Required to work flexible hours and/or weekends.

Travel:

May be required to travel to other domestic locations (primarily in Florida) up to 10% of the time.
