Job Summary:
This role provides direct clinical patient care to patients in the outpatient surgery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. The role will also supervise staff to ensure that appropriate care is delegated and that high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
- Provide direct clinical care to patients, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing education to patients and families.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring that care is provided in a safe and effective manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
