Landscape Architect

Job Summary:

The City of Spokane, WA is seeking a highly skilled Landscape Architect to join our team in the planning and design of park construction and redevelopment projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative landscape architecture solutions that enhance the beauty and functionality of our parks and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and design landscapes and facilities for park construction or redevelopment projects.
• Conduct site analyses to determine landscaping requirements and develop design concepts that meet the needs of our community.
• Prepare detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet the needs of all parties involved.
• Review and approve landscape plans for project work by various City departments.
• Provide technical supervision and guidance on park improvement projects.
• Supervise construction and grounds maintenance projects to ensure consistency with the design intent.
• Communicate effectively with community groups, civic organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet their needs.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Valid driver's license or equivalent mobility.
• Recognized certificate of registration as a Landscape Architect.
• Ability to obtain reciprocal licensure in Washington within six months of employment.
