Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting.
  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient and establish rapport with patients and others.
  • Prepare patients or areas for mammography procedures by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment and report issues to management or appropriate departments.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation, including requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions taken.
Requirements
  • Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
