We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit to join our esteemed facility. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.
Certification Requirements- Current Indiana nursing license or an active compact license (preferred).
- Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a Level II Trauma and Teaching Facility.
- Work primarily at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
- At least 1 travel assignment completed.
- Experience in Trauma Level 1 or 2 required.
- Recent experience with EPIC is necessary (checkoff class will be required).
- Preferred skillset includes Cardiovascular ICU and stepdown experience.
- Contract duration: 13 weeks.
- Start with bi-weekly orientation sessions.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
- Shift requirement: 12-hour night shifts.
- Weekend and holiday rotations: every other weekend and holiday.
- Floating requirement: first to float among designated locations.
- Potential for mid-shift floating with a 2-hour notice (currently waived, subject to change).
- Patient care ratios: 1:2 (maximum of 3, typically with lower acuity or transfer patients as necessary).
- Floating to various areas including Cardiovascular ICU, Neuro/Med/Surg ICU, Surgical/Trauma/Cardio ICU, and stepdown units.
- Position located in the Cardiac ICU - Nights.
- Local candidates are not eligible (40-mile radius rule).
- Covid-19 vaccination is not currently required (subject to change).
- Scrubs color: Navy blue.
