Job Summary:

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of the project development/execution team and responsible for hands-on engineering expertise in development of a variety of electromechanical assemblies for our government customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project development and execution
  • Design mechanical parts and assemblies with SolidWorks
  • Work closely with electrical and chemical engineers
  • Maintain organized SolidWorks part and assembly files
  • Create 2D drawings and design for manufacturing
  • Maintain an up-to-date BOM for assemblies
  • Lead prototype builds and work hands-on with the team
  • Work directly with vendors and with purchasing department to procure prototype components

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design
  • Minimum BS Mechanical Engineering or similar degree
  • Expert level in SolidWorks
  • Strong work ethics and work well with interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of delivering on time and on budget
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction
