Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team at the Florida State Hospital. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying their physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes and in accordance with Rule 64B9, Florida Administrative Code.
  • One year of professional nursing experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
