We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the California State Prison, Los Angeles County. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our inmates and ensuring their health and well-being.
Job Summary:The Licensed Vocational Nurse will work under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III, Correctional Facility (CF) and the clinical guidance of the Registered Nurse (RN), CF. The successful candidate will provide basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
Responsibilities:- Provide basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
- Work under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III, Correctional Facility (CF) and the clinical guidance of the Registered Nurse (RN), CF.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients.
- Provide technical patient care under valid authorization by a provider's order and the delegation and clinical direction of the RN, CF.
- Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
- Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with physicians and other health care providers, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
- Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
