About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Assist patients through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records, completing all paperwork associated with these procedures and preparing tests for physician interpretation.
  • Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function well under stressful situations.

Requirements

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, and/or primary science, or a recent graduate of an accredited cardiovascular program.
  • Minimum Two (2) or more years of full-time invasive cardiology experience preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
