Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns in the NICU
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in unit-specific quality improvement initiatives
- 2 full years of experience in NICU or related field
- Active BLS, ACLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications
- WA State RN license required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- 12-hour shifts, flexibility with scheduling
- Every other weekend requirement
- No call requirement
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
- Ratios: 1-3 depending on acuity
- EMR: EPIC
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Every other. Days (Sat and Sun) Nights (Fri and Sat)
- No Call Requirement
- Holidays: Rotate in with perm staff
- Scrub Color: Scrubs provided
- Tele: Yes
- Drips: typical drips, TPN, lipids
- Vents: Yes and Bubble cpap, high flow
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Specialized care for babies born with low birth weight, prematurity, & those recovering from serious conditions: respiratory conditions, hemodynamic issues, no surgeries, no Ecmo Bubble cpap, tube feeds, feeders and growers, substance abuse babies. Below 33 weeks stabilize and transfer. 32 weeks. must be experienced with stabilization / attending high and low risk deliveries and transitioning newborns.
- Traveler MUST be competent in couplet care in Post partum & can attend Deliveries
- Traveler auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in.
