Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Weekend Shift

Job Summary:

The Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation and Pediatrics is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of our residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough interviews and examinations to assess residents' breathing difficulties
  • Collaborate with doctors and nursing staff to develop and modify treatment plans tailored to each resident's needs
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity and assess respiratory function
  • Administer oxygen therapy to assist residents with breathing difficulties
  • Connect residents who require ventilator support to ensure optimal care
  • Educate residents on the proper use of equipment and medication to promote independence and self-care
  • Monitor residents' responses to medication and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Regularly inspect equipment and residents to ensure their safety and well-being

Requirements:

  • Current BLS certification
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Prior experience in pediatric care is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work every weekend, including nights and holidays
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
