This full-time Career Service role is situated within the Maintenance Department at a correctional facility in Florida. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks essential for the smooth operation of the institution.

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $35,900.54. This figure represents the starting appointment rate, and candidates are encouraged to utilize the Total Compensation Estimator Tool for a comprehensive overview of total compensation, including benefits and retirement options.

Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will perform general maintenance and repairs in various trades, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, welding, drywall, and roofing. Specific duties include:
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs across multiple systems.
- Supervising and training inmates in relevant trades.
- Adhering to established safety protocols and security procedures.
- Planning and organizing work assignments, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least one year of experience in plumbing, carpentry, welding, drywall, roofing, or food service equipment repair. Alternatively, candidates with four or more years of general maintenance experience may also qualify. Relevant vocational training can substitute for required experience.

A valid Class E Driver's License is required.
