Position Overview

As a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to assist in delivering essential physical therapy services. Your role will involve supporting the implementation of therapy plans and ensuring high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Therapy Plans: Assist in the implementation of established treatment strategies and provide therapeutic interventions as directed by a licensed therapist.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient care in accordance with professional standards and departmental protocols.
  • Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and participate in professional development activities.
  • Additional Duties: Be prepared to undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Compensation

Position Compensation Range: $38.78 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree required.

Experience: No prior experience necessary.

Licensure: Must be licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Certification from the appropriate credentialing board is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

This position involves frequent bending and stooping. Candidates should possess proficient communication skills, both auditory and visual, along with a keen attention to detail and the ability to write clearly. The role may require lifting, pushing, or pulling weight. Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
