Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team at Starr Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in a cath lab setting.
Key Responsibilities
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requirements
Minimum Education: Associate Science of Nursing Degree
Required Licenses: Current RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
Required Skills: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
