Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer II to join our team at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. As a key member of our engineering and facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and requisition parts and supplies as necessary.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
