Wound Center Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Wound Center team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with complex wounds, working closely with specialists from various service lines.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible APP to provide comprehensive wound care services to adult patients. You will be responsible for performing comprehensive evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans to promote wound healing and prevent complications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex wounds
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote wound healing and prevent complications
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as needed to promote wound healing and manage pain
  • Assist patients in understanding their diagnosis, treatment options, and resources available
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Board certification or board eligibility in a relevant specialty
  • Experience in wound care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
