Position Summary: The Route Manager (RM) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective execution of all tasks associated with their designated routes. The daily responsibilities are typically divided into 30% administrative duties and 70% fieldwork. The RM will be involved in record management, scheduling, billing, quality assurance, safety inspections, and overseeing fleet and equipment upkeep. This role necessitates considerable travel between job sites. Occasionally, the RM may need to collaborate with crew members for training purposes or to provide assistance, thus a willingness to engage in manual labor tasks is essential. Proficiency in computer usage and the ability to learn Kept Companies' operational software is required. Experience in managing a dynamic workforce with diverse skill levels is imperative. While there are no fixed working hours, weekends are generally unavailable for time off, with typical restrictions to two consecutive weekdays. The RM must demonstrate self-management capabilities throughout the workweek to achieve various assigned objectives. Availability by phone during scheduled workdays is mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Valid Clean Driver's License (Required)
  • Successful Background Check (Required)
  • Bi-Lingual proficiency is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure timely dispatch of teams with appropriate equipment, conduct on-site inspections, address queries during field operations, and lead team members in delivering services that meet high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold and enforce company standards for safety, environmental regulations, asset management, and operational procedures.
  • Operational Efficiency: Strive to complete 100% of assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining customer satisfaction, regularly check emails, communicate schedule changes with the operations manager, ensure all purchase orders are entered prior to job reconciliation, manage labor costs effectively, and ensure all devices are charged.
  • Scheduling and Billing: Finalize and validate weekly schedules by Sunday, promptly reconcile previous day’s work after dispatch, and ensure all billing and wage accounts are completed by Tuesday noon.

Regular Duties:

  • Assist the Operations Manager with HR-related tasks such as hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee all route-level personnel, including onboarding and daily operational activities.
  • Address operational challenges in the field, including equipment failures and safety incidents.
  • Ensure regular maintenance and service of all assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.
  • Respond to urgent requests and special assignments from clients.
  • Facilitate or lead monthly safety meetings for the team.
  • Participate in the performance reviews and coaching of route employees.
  • The Route Manager will be provided with a company cell phone and credit card for work-related expenses.
